We've been working on getting a low-friction recording setup started in our practice space, and it seems like we're finally there. 16 tracks of digital in, with drum mics always in place. The goal is to be able to start tracking quality takes with almost zero setup while we're practicing, for songwriting and reference purposes.
We had our first session trying it out a couple of weeks ago, and it seems to be running pretty smoothly! Nothing we want to share yet, but a huge upgrade from our previous method (getting out a phone and firing up Voice Memos).
I'm not sure what we'll end up writing on this site, or how often - show announcements, random news, idle thoughts? But it's nice to have a single spot that we own and operate, instead of relying on the algorithmic wasteland of social media to communicate.
